Description
Pennsylvania’s Department of Labor & Industry (L&I) funds the development of comprehensive Ramsay Assessment test-preparation materials and a standardized Train-the-Trainer curriculum. The program prioritizes the Mechanical, Electrical, and MultiCraft aptitude tests. It aims to strengthen instructors’ knowledge and instructional practices, establish consistent instruction across providers, and improve learner readiness, student performance, and pass rates.
The project supports openly accessible online resources for workforce agencies, education providers, and employers. Deliverables include curriculum modules, lesson plans, practice items, learner resources, trainer guides, instructor toolkits, mentoring tools, and implementation guidance. By addressing preparation gaps that limit access to high-wage, high-growth technical occupations, the initiative seeks to expand Pennsylvania’s technical talent pipeline and improve alignment between training providers and employer needs.
