Established in 2016, this program supports research in obstetrics, gynaecology and related disciplines in New South Wales, while promoting academia as a career pathway. The RANZCOG NSW State Committee provides the funds, and the RANZCOG Women’s Health Foundation administers the grants.
The program offers separate awards for FRANZCOG trainees and early-career RANZCOG Fellows. Research must be undertaken in a hospital, university department or research institute in NSW. These are research-only grants, with assessment considering the applicant’s experience and career development, the quality and feasibility of the project, and the strength of the supervisory and research environment. The Foundation also considers the research’s potential contribution to women’s health.
