Description
The Colorado Health Foundation’s Rapid Response: Advocacy funding supports short-term, time-sensitive initiatives that put Coloradans’ interests at the center of policy decisions with long-term implications for health equity. Projects may promote public policy change or protect and improve implementation of existing policies at the local, state, or federal level. The work must serve Coloradans with less power, privilege, and income, prioritize Coloradans of color, and be informed by the communities it seeks to serve.
Supported approaches include coalition building, grassroots organizing, litigation and legal advocacy, media advocacy, policy analysis, public and policymaker education, public opinion research, messaging development, and regulatory advocacy. Funding focuses on urgent opportunities rather than long-term or previously planned initiatives, with authentic community engagement central to the proposed work.
