The Raptor Research Foundation’s Early-career Raptor Researcher Travel Grants help researchers at the beginning of their careers attend the foundation’s annual meeting and share their work through paper or poster presentations. The support is for meeting travel and research presentation, rather than funding the research itself. Applicants with the greatest financial need receive the greatest consideration.
The program supports participation in the field of raptor biology. Recent recipients presented work on climate change and vulture habitat, owl diets and personality, Swainson’s hawk winter habitat selection, and citizen science related to the Buff-fronted owl. These examples illustrate the range of research shared at the meeting with travel support.
