    Description

The Washington Rare Book Group Scholarship, administered by Rare Book School (RBS), covers course tuition for a bibliographically inclined applicant from the Washington, D.C. area. It supports access to intensive, hands-on training led by bibliographical experts through courses administered by RBS, which is based at the University of Virginia.

The scholarship forms part of RBS’s broader scholarship and fellowship program, supported by its funders to promote access to bibliographical education. That program recognizes scholarly merit, service to the bibliographical record, and financial need. Each year, more than 500 students from around the world gather at the University of Virginia and partner institutions for RBS courses, forming a global community of practice.
