Description
This recurring, state-funded program provides competitive grants to Florida-based universities and established research institutes for research targeting rare, non-cancer pediatric diseases. The program aims to expand research capacity, foster novel approaches to treatment and therapeutics, reduce the burden on underserved populations, and encourage collaboration across diverse and nontraditional partners. Funding is available for a range of project types, including consortium-building, discovery science, high-risk/high-reward research, and equipment acquisition to advance pediatric rare disease research in Florida.
