The Raymond A. Weiss Research Endowment supports applied research investigating the psychological and emotional benefits of physical activity and sport. Administered by the American College of Sports Medicine Foundation, the grant is intended for full-time graduate students. The late Drs. Raymond and Rosalee Weiss established the endowment to advance research into the physical, mental, and emotional health benefits of physical activity and sports; this grant focuses specifically on the psychological and emotional dimensions.
The Foundation also expects recipients to share their findings with the ACSM community. Grantees are expected to present funded research at a future ACSM Annual Meeting and provide the Foundation with copies of publications or presentations related to their funded work.
