Description
The Re-Entry Category Project Award is designed to help UCSF investigators who have temporarily left the traditional research track—such as for teaching, clinical practice, or personal circumstances—restart their research careers. The program encourages focused, well-defined projects that will generate preliminary data supporting future applications for extramural funding. Priority is given to proposals with strong potential to lead to independent research grants. Funding is available for research in heart disease, eye diseases, cancer, and stomach ailments, among other areas, with selection based on scientific merit and alignment with UCSF’s research priorities.
