Description
This opportunity, administered by the National Park Service (NPS) under the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) State and Local Assistance Program, funds projects that acquire and develop public outdoor recreation areas in proximity to military installations or airspace. The initiative aims to expand outdoor recreation access, promote compatible land uses, protect natural resources, and enhance disaster resilience while supporting military readiness. Projects must include a land acquisition component and be located within a Readiness and Environmental Protection Integration (REPI) Partnership Opportunity Area or a designated Sentinel Landscape, with direct support from military installation leadership.
