Description
The Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) provides federal funding to nonprofit organizations at high risk of terrorist or extremist attacks. Administered by the Nevada Division of Emergency Management / Homeland Security (DEM/HS), the program aims to improve the physical and cybersecurity of nonprofit facilities, enhance preparedness, and integrate nonprofit security efforts with broader state and local initiatives. Funding is available for both urban area (NSGP-UA) and non-urban area (NSGP-S) nonprofits, with allocations determined by location.
NSGP funding supports a range of activities, including facility hardening, security planning, training, exercises, and certain cybersecurity improvements. Projects must address risks identified in vulnerability assessments and align with national priority areas such as protection of soft targets, cybersecurity, and election security.
