Description
This federal funding opportunity provides formula-based cooperative agreements to designated state authorities or agencies for the implementation and enhancement of state recreational boating safety (RBS) programs. The goal is to minimize boating-related fatalities, injuries, and property damage while promoting safe and enjoyable boating experiences for the public. Funding supports a broad range of activities including law enforcement, education, casualty reporting, vessel numbering, and public access initiatives, as well as equipment and construction projects directly tied to boating safety.
