Description
The Nebraska Recreational Trails Program (RTP) is a federal-aid grant program administered by the Nebraska Game & Parks Commission, in partnership with the Federal Highway Administration. RTP funds the development, rehabilitation, and maintenance of recreational trails and related amenities throughout Nebraska. Projects can include new trail construction, restoration of existing trails, trailhead and facility improvements, environmental sustainability measures, acquisition of easements or land, purchase of trail maintenance equipment, and educational or training initiatives related to trail use and stewardship. Both motorized and non-motorized trail projects are supported, with a focus on accessibility, environmental stewardship, and public benefit.
