Description
The Recreational Trails Program is a federal aid program administered in South Dakota by South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks. It helps provide and maintain trails for motorized and non-motorized recreation. Supported uses include walking, biking, in-line skating, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, off-road motorcycling, OHV and UTV riding, four-wheeling, and snowmobiling.
The program is part of the agency’s work with partners to sustain outdoor recreation across the state. That work aims to cultivate stewardship, strengthen partnerships, and connect people with South Dakota’s outdoors.
