This opportunity supports Texas academic institutions in recruiting established, senior cancer research faculty with distinguished careers and ongoing, robust cancer research programs. The program aims to strengthen the state’s research capacity and leadership in cancer research by attracting world-class investigators whose expertise and programs will significantly advance cancer science, prevention, and treatment in Texas. The award is part of CPRIT’s Academic Research initiative and is intended for candidates at the level of full professor (or equivalent) who are recognized leaders in their field and are not currently residing in Texas.
