Description
This grant opportunity funds the recruitment of leading scientists and clinician scientists specializing in spinal cord injury (SCI) research to South Carolina. The primary aim is to build a critical mass of skilled investigators capable of establishing robust research programs in both basic and applied sciences, thereby advancing the field and increasing the state's competitiveness for federal research funding. Supported research areas include neurobiology, pre-clinical and clinical studies, rehabilitation outcomes, epidemiology, and education related to SCI.
