Description
This opportunity funds North Carolina local health departments (LHDs) to address infant mortality and related health disparities through evidence-based, community-engaged strategies. The program is administered by the NC Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health, Women, Infant, and Community Wellness Section. Funded projects must select and implement two out of four approved evidence-based strategies: Breastfeeding Support Services, Doula Services, Group Prenatal Care, and Infant Safe Sleep Services. Emphasis is placed on partnerships with community-based organizations and serving populations with the highest demonstrated need.
