Description

This opportunity supports large-scale projects that develop and demonstrate innovative, regenerative, and place-based planning and spatial design solutions to reduce soil sealing and land take, improve soil health, support food system transformation, and enhance climate resilience and biodiversity. Funded projects must integrate New European Bauhaus (NEB) principles—sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusivity—and demonstrate their solutions in at least three neighborhoods (urban, peri-urban, rural) across different EU Member States and/or Associated Countries.

Projects should employ participatory and co-creation processes, foster cross-sector collaboration (involving stakeholders such as artists, architects, planners, local authorities, NGOs, researchers, and communities), and ensure knowledge exchange for transferability and scalability. Monitoring of impacts using well-defined indicators is required, alongside the development of innovative funding models and actionable policy recommendations aligned with EU strategies. Collaboration with related EU initiatives, living labs, and platforms is encouraged to maximize impact and foster regulatory adoption.
