The Regents’ Researcher Awards are prestigious annual honors presented by the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) to recognize outstanding research achievements by permanent full-time faculty at UNLV, UNR, NSU, or DRI. There are three awards each year: one for a distinguished career in research, one for mid-career accomplishments, and one for achievement in the humanities and social sciences. Awardees receive a $5,000 stipend and the honorary title of Regents’ Researcher, which they may use in perpetuity. While the awards are primarily for individuals, collaborative groups with significant research impact may also be considered.
