The program supports musicians, writers, filmmakers, dancers, theater artists, craftspeople, and others pursuing creative or cultural work.
The fellowship helps artists further and innovate their practice through creative time and arts experiences that bring depth and advancement to their work. It supports exploring new directions, continuing work in progress, and collaborative or community projects. Region 2 Arts Council aims to raise the profile of creative work in the region and build a strong community of Anishinaabe Arts Initiative Fellows. Each fellow’s artwork is featured on the council’s website.
