Description
This grant provides financial support for projects and programs designed to enrich and enhance the physical and athletic experiences of students in the Region 1 School District of Connecticut. The fund seeks to foster values such as sportsmanship, teamwork, endurance, ambition, discipline, and fair play. Funding is intended for activities or items that go beyond what is typically covered by local, state, or federal funding, such as special coaching, summer training or camp programs, movement or master classes, coach training, equipment or uniform purchases, and facility improvements. Preference is given to proposals that benefit students in grades 7-11 and those intending to remain in the Region 1 schools.
