    Description

    The Regional Awards for Excellence in High School Teaching are presented by the American Chemical Society (ACS) Division of Chemical Education to recognize and encourage outstanding high school chemistry teachers across ACS Regions. Established in 2004, the award aims to honor educators who demonstrate exceptional teaching quality, innovative instructional methods, the ability to inspire students, engagement in extracurricular chemistry activities, ongoing professional development, and leadership within their profession. Recipients receive a cash prize, an engraved plaque, and reimbursement for reasonable travel expenses to attend the ACS Regional Meeting where the award is presented. The recipient’s institution also receives a certificate or plaque for display. Awardees may be invited to deliver a keynote address or participate in a symposium at the meeting.
