Description
The New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) partners with organizations to deliver targeted funding and services not directly offered by the agency. Invitations reflect NYSCA-identified unmet needs and an organization’s service capacity. Support encompasses regrant administration, technical assistance, and targeted initiatives focused on creativity and public engagement.
The program also includes Statewide Community Regrants (SCR), a network serving local and regional cultural organizations and artists across New York. SCR supports community arts projects, arts education for young people and senior adults, and new work by professional artists in community settings. Local peer-panel decisions, outreach, and organizational development assistance help programs respond to community needs. NYSCA emphasizes distinctive artistic programming, equitable access, engagement with historically underrepresented communities, and sound management.
