Description
The Administration for Community Living (ACL) plans to fund one Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center through its National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR). The center will research and develop technologies that promote independence and community living among people who are blind or have low vision.
The broader Rehabilitation Engineering Research Centers program uses advanced engineering research and innovative technology development to address particular rehabilitation problems or remove environmental barriers. Its goal is to improve the effectiveness of services authorized under the Rehabilitation Act. This opportunity is a discretionary, competitive grant.
