Description
Reinhart Koselleck Projects is a German Research Foundation (DFG) programme enabling researchers with outstanding scientific track records and high scientific potential to pursue exceptionally innovative or, in a positive sense, higher-risk research. It supports projects that cannot be implemented within the applicant’s own institution or funded through other DFG programmes because of their innovative character or level of risk.
The programme provides five years of support for project-specific resources. Because the course of this research is less predictable than other research activities, proposals may describe the project only roughly rather than offer a detailed work plan. The applicant’s academic record must justify the confidence required to fund such work. Projects are generally proposed by a single researcher, with other participants integrated where complementary expertise is needed.
