Description
The program supports outstanding researchers with a proven scientific track record to undertake highly innovative or higher-risk research projects that cannot be funded within the scope of other German Research Foundation (DFG) programs or within the applicant’s own institution. Projects should be groundbreaking and may involve significant scientific risk and uncertainty. The program is designed to foster research that pushes disciplinary boundaries and would not be possible under standard funding mechanisms.
