Description
The Relocation Program, administered by the Delaware Department of Agriculture’s Nutrient Management Program, offers cost-share assistance for transporting manure—such as poultry litter and other livestock byproducts—generated in Delaware from farms or operations with a nutrient surplus to receiving sites or projects that can utilize the nutrients. The initiative aims to reduce nutrient buildup in high-density livestock and poultry regions, improve balanced crop nutrient application, and foster environmentally responsible nutrient management practices across Delaware. The program covers both traditional land application and approved alternative uses (such as mushroom composting), with strict compliance to transport and environmental standards.
