Description
The Renewable Energy Fund, administered by the Alaska Energy Authority (AEA), provides competitive grant funding to support the development, design, and construction of renewable energy projects throughout Alaska. The program aims to reduce and stabilize energy costs for Alaskans by fostering the adoption of cost-effective renewable solutions for both heat and power. Since its inception in 2008, the fund has awarded over 370 grants, catalyzing the deployment of more than 110 operational projects and saving over 30 million gallons of diesel annually. Eligible projects span a wide range of technologies, including wind, solar, hydroelectric, biomass, geothermal, heat recovery, and energy storage.
