Description
The South Carolina Space Grant Consortium’s Research and Education Awards Program (REAP) supports faculty and students at consortium member institutions. It aims to help South Carolina faculty develop new research directions, obtain distinctive training and exposure, and build collaborations across campuses and with NASA, other federal agencies, and the aerospace industry.
Its four subprograms support NASA-related research, STEM education research, science and engineering coursework or educational materials, and short research or training trips. Research activities may initiate projects, expand existing work, or connect scientists at multiple consortium campuses. Travel may include visits to federal facilities, international groups, or other Space Grant campuses; presenting results at professional meetings is a lesser priority.
