Description
The Research and Education Awards Program (REAP), administered by the South Carolina Space Grant Consortium (SCSGC), supports faculty and student activities that develop new research directions, provide unique training and exposure, and build collaborations. It aims to bring South Carolina faculty into the mainstream of research activity and improve their ability to compete for research and education funding. Collaborations may connect campuses with NASA, other federal agencies, and the aerospace industry.
Four subprograms support complementary activities: starting or expanding NASA-related research, conducting STEM education research, developing science and engineering coursework or educational materials, and making short visits that advance research or training. Proposals must demonstrate relevance to NASA research priorities and South Carolina’s research priorities. Research Facilitation and Education Research awards also require undergraduate and/or graduate student participation.
