Description
This program supports University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine (CCOM) faculty whose research programs face gaps due to recent or imminent loss of extramural funding. The goal is to help investigators maintain research activity while awaiting renewal or replacement grant decisions, provided there is a strong likelihood of future funding. Funding is a collaboration between CCOM, the faculty member’s department, and the Office of the Vice President for Research. The program is designed to sustain promising research, facilitate the addressing of reviewer feedback, and enable timely resubmission of competitive grant applications.
