The Fulbright Canada Research Chairs – General and Interdisciplinary program offers U.S. scholars and professionals the opportunity to conduct research, teach, and engage collaboratively at leading Canadian universities. The program is highly interdisciplinary, with research chairs available in fields such as justice and reconciliation, brain and language, indigenous scholarship, rural aging, digital humanities, popular genre fiction, and more. Scholars are encouraged to participate in academic, community, and public life, helping to foster cross-border understanding and lasting scholarly networks. Each award involves a pre-arranged affiliation with a Canadian host institution, where grantees may pursue independent or collaborative research, guest lecture, mentor students, and represent both the Fulbright program and their home institution.
