Description
Fulbright Canada Research Chairs provide pre-arranged affiliations at Canadian universities for exceptional U.S. scholars undertaking research important to their hosts. Scholars may pursue their own research, collaborate with colleagues, guest lecture, mentor students, and undertake professional or artistic projects. The program supports research and teaching/research across all disciplines, with institution-specific themes spanning the humanities, arts, sciences, health, and professions.
The chairs aim to strengthen U.S.–Canada relationships and promote international understanding through academic exchange and engagement with campus and community life. Hosts encourage collaboration with faculty and students, public presentations, and knowledge sharing. Applicants should match their proposed work to a participating university’s research interests and explain the benefits of conducting it in Canada.
