Key Information: Canadian permanent residents and applicants residing in Canada at application or thereafter are ineligible.
Description
Offered through the Fulbright Scholar Program and Fulbright Canada, these Research Chairs support independent and collaborative research important to Canadian host universities. Areas span global governance, international relations, digitization and democracy, housing policy, public banking, international studies, Indigenous public policy and criminal justice, and transnational law. The chairs provide pre-arranged host affiliations and opportunities to build interdisciplinary research relationships.
Scholars can conduct their own research, collaborate with host faculty, teach or guest lecture, mentor students, and contribute to faculty, curriculum, or program development. Engagement with students, faculty, and the broader community is central to the exchange. Public talks and other outreach support Fulbright’s goal of strengthening relationships between people in the United States and Canada and promoting international understanding and cooperation.
