    Description

Research Co-Design Grants from the Rising Tide Foundation for Clinical Cancer Research (RTFCCR) support meaningful patient involvement at the earliest stages of cancer research development. The program brings people living with cancer, patient organizations, and clinical researchers together to shape research questions, protocols, and outcome measures before a study begins. Priorities include treatment burden, daily functioning, and quality of life.

The grants address the funding gap for patient experts contributing to a research application or protocol. Support covers travel to preparatory meetings with clinical teams and the work contributed by patient association staff or patient partners. The goal is to integrate lived experience with scientific expertise, establish meaningful patient-partner roles, and develop research proposals that better reflect what matters to people with cancer.
