    Description

This fellowship opportunity supports research in cyber-physical systems (CPSs), where computational and physical components are closely integrated. CPSs typically consist of networks of physically distributed embedded sensors and actuators with computing and communication capabilities. While individual devices may have limited ability to monitor or control physical processes, their coordinated networked action can enable unprecedented functionalities.

The program is particularly interested in addressing computational challenges related to CPSs in key application domains such as:

    • Health care systems
    • Intelligent electrical grids
    • Internet of Things (IoT)

The research is hosted at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), specifically within the Information Technology Laboratory's Software and Systems Division in Gaithersburg, MD.
