Description
The Orthopaedic Trauma Association’s Research Development Program is a two-year opportunity designed to foster early-career clinician scientists and build their early integration within the OTA. It combines funding for a research proposal with mentorship, education, and participation in the association’s research activities, supporting the development of a clinician-scientist career trajectory.
Alongside research support, participants gain committee experience within the Research Council and access to external mentorship. The program also provides grant-writing education, sponsored participation in ORS Clinical Scholars Career Development, access to the OTA online survey system for pilot data collection, and journal reviewer opportunities. These activities connect research experience with professional development and service within the orthopaedic trauma research community.
