The NIH Research Education Program (R25, Clinical Trial Not Allowed) aims to support research education activities that complement and enhance training of the workforce needed for the nation’s biomedical, behavioral, and clinical research priorities. This program primarily funds the development of courses for skills development, as well as curriculum and methods development. Projects may also incorporate mentoring, research, and outreach components to prepare participants for impactful research careers. The overarching goal is to recruit and train individuals with diverse backgrounds and skillsets to address critical health-related research needs.
