Description
The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Foundation’s Research Endowment provides seed funding for mechanistic, hypothesis-driven basic and applied research across relevant fields of exercise science. Supported by charitable funds and individual donations, the grant helps early-career researchers undertake pilot work that can support subsequent applications to other funding sources. It is not intended to serve as the sole funding source for a continuing research effort.
Applications should clearly explain whether the pilot study achieves its aims and how the resulting data will be used in future grant applications. The Foundation also expects recipients to share their funded research through a future ACSM Annual Meeting and provide copies of related publications or presentations.
