Description
The Research Enrichment Program (REP) at the University of Kentucky is an internal funding mechanism designed to stimulate new research and support ongoing scholarly activities across departments, centers, and institutes. REP allocates a portion of the facilities and administrative (F&A) income generated from externally funded research awards back to the units involved, incentivizing interdisciplinary collaboration and resource sharing. Allocated funds can be used for faculty and staff research support, graduate student activities, research equipment, seminars, travel, and other research-related needs. The program aims to advance the university’s research mission and strategic objectives by directly empowering units to invest in research infrastructure and personnel.
