The Research Enrichment Program (REP) at the University of Kentucky is designed to stimulate and support research and scholarly activities within university units, such as departments, centers, and institutes. REP equitably distributes a portion of the facilities and administrative (F&A) income realized from research awards to these units, with the goal of enhancing research capabilities and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. Funds can be used for a wide range of research-related purposes, including faculty and graduate student support, equipment, seminars, travel, salary support for research staff, supplies, and computers. The allocation and use of REP funds are managed at the unit level, following guidelines to ensure resources are directed toward substantive research and collaborative projects.
