The Research Expertise from the Academic Diaspora (READ) Fellowship Program, administered by the Institute of International Education in partnership with the Albanian-American Development Foundation, aims to leverage the expertise of Albanian diaspora academics to strengthen higher education and scientific research in Albania. The program facilitates structured collaboration between diaspora scholars based in OECD countries and Albanian higher education institutions, supporting research, curriculum development, co-teaching, and capacity-building. Both Diaspora Scholars and Albanian Resident Scholars participate through a two-sided application and matching process, with the goal of fostering innovation and sustainable academic partnerships.
