Funding Amounts: Diaspora Scholars: $150/day (in-person) or $100/day (virtual), plus travel and stipend; Resident Scholars: research grants up to $5,000 (up to $10,000 for STEM), or 500,000–2,500,000 ALL depending on institution and budget. Fellowships last 1–6 months.

Description
The Research Expertise from the Academic Diaspora (READ) Fellowship Program is designed to strengthen academic and research collaboration between Albanian scholars in the diaspora (primarily in OECD countries) and higher education institutions in Albania. The program supports joint research, curriculum co-development, co-teaching, and Ph.D. supervision, with the goal of building long-term institutional capacity and fostering sustainable academic partnerships. Special competitions, such as the READ-Butrint round, target applied research supporting the management and preservation of Albania’s cultural and natural heritage.
