The Research Expertise from the Academic Diaspora (READ) Fellowship Program facilitates collaboration between Albanian academic diaspora members and higher education institutions in Albania. The program aims to strengthen scientific research and higher education in Albania by leveraging the expertise of Albanian researchers based in OECD countries. Through short-term fellowships, READ supports collaborative research projects, curriculum and course development, co-teaching, and joint supervision of PhDs. The program operates via a two-sided application process: Albanian Resident Scholars propose projects, and Diaspora Scholars submit their credentials to a roster for potential matching.
