Description
Research Fellowships at the Institute of English Studies (IES), part of the University of London’s School of Advanced Study, support established researchers with a significant record of achievement. Fellows contribute to specialist seminars, events and conferences, help develop funded research projects, and strengthen the Institute’s intellectual life. The fellowship provides research resources and an institutional setting for collaboration rather than a stipend.
IES encourages interdisciplinary work across the School and sustained research relationships with English departments throughout the UK. It also welcomes international scholars pursuing research in London or developing projects with IES staff and existing fellows. Research interests encompass English Studies, book history, manuscript studies and related fields. The Institute particularly welcomes researchers working in advocacy for the discipline.
