Description
The Neurosurgery Research & Education Foundation (NREF) Research Fellowship Grant supports neurosurgery residents preparing for academic careers that combine clinical practice and investigation. NREF, the philanthropic arm of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), annually funds basic, translational, and patient-oriented clinical research by North American investigators.
The fellowship provides a year of research support and training rather than focusing on a single disease or scientific question. Its priorities include developing neurosurgeon-scientists and supporting work with potential to contribute to neurosurgical research and patient care.
