Summary: Supports experienced UK-based researchers with significant teaching/admin duties to complete original research in any discipline except applied medical research.
The Leverhulme Trust Research Fellowships are designed to provide experienced researchers at UK universities with dedicated time to complete significant original research projects. The scheme particularly prioritizes applicants whose research output has been hindered by teaching and administrative responsibilities in recent years. Fellowships are open to all disciplines, with the exception of research intended to inform clinical practice or medical applications. The awards support fundamental research, including projects with national or international focus, and are not available for applied medical research.
Approximately 100 fellowships are awarded each year, enabling recipients to devote at least 75% of their time to the proposed research project for a period ranging from 3 to 24 months.
