Description
The Leverhulme Trust’s Research Fellowships give experienced researchers time and resources to complete a programme of original research alongside relief from routine duties. Priority goes to applicants whose teaching and administrative responsibilities have significantly restricted their research during the three years before application. The scheme supports reasonable replacement costs and research expenses, rather than providing a post or position for the applicant.
The Trust prioritises investigations of a fundamental nature and considers work across disciplines, subject to its medical research exclusions. Projects may be undertaken in the UK or overseas. International research is welcome but not required: overseas visits should follow the needs of the project. The scheme continues to support internationally focused work following the discontinuation of standalone International Fellowships.
