Description
The Royal Academy of Engineering’s Research Fellowships give outstanding early-career researchers time, resources and support to pursue ambitious independent engineering research. The scheme supports engineering in its broadest sense, including multidisciplinary fields, computer science and materials. Its objectives are to help researchers establish independence and an international reputation, pursue research with significant impact, and become ambassadors for engineering and advocates for STEM.
The five-year fellowship combines research funding with protected research time through reduced teaching and administrative duties. Fellows receive training and mentoring from leading engineers and join the Academy’s Awardee Excellence Community, with opportunities to connect, collaborate and contribute to the Academy’s work.
