Description
The McCormick Science Institute (MSI) funds research that advances scientific knowledge of the potential health benefits of culinary spices and herbs. MSI is an independent, research-driven organization supported by McCormick & Company, Inc. Its mission also includes sharing research findings with consumers and health professionals.
MSI considers laboratory and human research, including in vitro and ex vivo experiments, analytical methodology or determinations, observational studies, and IRB-approved experiments with human subjects. Research must concern culinary spices or herbs approved for food use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and used for their sensory characteristics in foods.
