The Massage Therapy Foundation offers two primary funding mechanisms to advance the science and public understanding of massage therapy: the Research Support Award (up to $30,000 for one year) and the larger Research Grant ($30,000–$300,000 over up to three years). These grants fund independent, innovative research that explores therapeutic applications, public perceptions, and the integration of massage therapy within healthcare. Projects may address basic, applied, or translational research, including studies on massage as a treatment or prevention strategy for health and mental health conditions.
