Description
The Massage Therapy Foundation (MTF) supports rigorous, independent research on massage therapy through two main funding mechanisms: Research Grants (for larger, multi-year projects) and Research Support Awards (for smaller, one-year projects). These programs are designed to advance the practice, evidence base, and integration of massage therapy in healthcare by funding studies on therapeutic applications, public perceptions, and related health outcomes. Both basic and applied research are supported, with a focus on projects that directly inform massage therapy practice and involve meaningful participation by credentialed massage therapists.
