    Description

The American Rhinologic Society (ARS) supports research into the pathophysiology of rhinologic disease and new treatment approaches. Its awards fund basic, translational, and clinical research, alongside innovation in teaching, novel technologies, and other nontraditional approaches that move rhinology forward. The program aims to advance therapy and technology, strengthen evidence-based patient care, and sustain the specialty.

ARS offers annual awards through Centralized Otolaryngology Research Efforts (CORE), a collaboration with AAO-HNSF and other specialty societies that coordinates research applications and peer review. CORE supports meritorious research, helps young investigators prepare competitive applications, and prepares surgeon-scientists for peer-review service. ARS also administers the David W. Kennedy, M.D. Innovation in Rhinology Grant and a Diversity Fellowship Grant supporting the development of underrepresented minority and women leaders in rhinology.
