Kids Beating Cancer funds innovative, high-impact pediatric cancer research with the potential to advance into life-saving clinical trials and therapies. Its research portfolio spans basic science, therapeutic development, biomarker research, and translational studies intended to benefit children within several years. The Scientific Advisory Board reviews applications annually, sets research priorities, and guides investment in new areas of discovery.
Three research grants support leukemia and other pediatric cancers, while the Emerging Scientist and Promising Scientist grants develop future researchers through mentored projects. Trainees may join their mentor’s ongoing investigation or begin their own project, at their own institution or another institution. Promising Scientist funding targets a discrete, self-contained research question within a larger investigation.
