Description
The LEO Foundation’s Research Grants support dermatology research through open competition. Proposed activities may involve basic, translational, technical, epidemiological, or clinical research. The program welcomes studies of skin biology and the medicinal, biological, chemical, or pharmacological mechanisms underlying dermatological diseases and their symptoms.
The program also supports research addressing clinical issues among people at risk of developing, or already living with, skin disease, including effects on quality of life and societal costs. Clinical trials must be investigator-initiated, conducted and published independently of commercial interests. There are two annual calls: an international call for researchers worldwide and a European call for researchers based at European research institutions.
