The National Association of School Nurses (NASN) Research Grants encourage research on school nursing and the health of school-aged children. Supported by the NASN Endowment Fund, the program funds proposed research and scholarly evidence-based projects that advance quality school nursing practice and school-affiliated healthcare delivery. Its scope includes children’s health, school nurse practice issues, and nursing services for students.
NASN encourages well-designed inquiry that builds on existing knowledge and improves the health and well-being of students, school communities, and school nurses. Relevant approaches include multisite, longitudinal, mixed-methods, and intervention studies, alongside evidence-based, outcomes-driven, replicable quality improvement projects. Proposals should address at least one current NASN research priority and demonstrate significance to student health or the school nursing profession.
