Description
The Welch Foundation’s Research Grants support fundamental chemical research at educational institutions within Texas. The program funds chemistry research led by a principal investigator who is a full-time regular faculty member with tenure or on the tenure track. Proposals should describe work spanning three years and should have no scientific overlap with currently externally funded projects.
Support covers research personnel appointments, scientific equipment, expendable scientific items, services, equipment maintenance, publication expenses, and research-related travel under the Foundation’s guidelines. The program permits collaboration with research groups outside Texas, but award funds cannot be distributed to those groups. The Foundation also publishes a list of current principal investigators and highlights of ongoing research programs.
