Description
The Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium’s Research Infrastructure/SEED Program is designed to enhance the research capacity of its academic and industry affiliates by supporting the initiation or expansion of space-related research initiatives. The program aims to foster collaborations between academic institutions, industry, and NASA centers, with a focus on projects that align with NASA Mission Directorates. Funding encourages new research directions, integration of students into research, and the strengthening of research infrastructure within the consortium network.
Projects should demonstrate at least two of the following:
- Initiate new lines of space-related research
- Increase research capability or infrastructure
- Establish collaborations among institutions, industry, or NASA Centers
- Link academic and industrial affiliates through workshops, seminars, internships, or technology transfer
- Integrate students into high-quality, meaningful research experiences
