Description
The NASA West Virginia Space Grant Consortium’s Research Initiation Grant supports faculty research related to NASA’s mission and West Virginia’s science and technology priorities. It is intended for faculty initiating or establishing support for a research program, including established researchers entering a new area. The program aims to increase externally funded, NASA-sponsored research at the consortium’s academic affiliates.
Projects must identify their alignment with a NASA mission directorate and explain how the work would benefit it. Collaboration with NASA researchers is encouraged but not required. Applicants in STEM are highly encouraged to apply.
